Jiuzhaigou was named by the UN as one of the world's greatest natural wonders, Jiuzhaigou covers a total area of 72,000 hectares in Nanping county, 450 km away from Chengdu. More than 100 highland lakes are scattered throughout vast park, filled with clear, fresh water that sparkles with color from the rocks and sediment below. Majestic and delicately maintained, Jiuzhaogou is sometimes described as a "fairy tale kingdom".
