Olympic flame leaves Jilin City for Yanji

Last torchbearer Wang Jinjun, director of Jilin Chemical Fiber Group, lit the cauldron at 3:23 p.m. on Tuesday, marking the end to the Olympic Torch Relay in Jilin City. The city of Yanji will host the Olympic flame next. [Full story]

Brief introduction to Jilin

Jilin was formerly called "Jilin Wula", which means "along the river" in the Manchu language. Jilin is referred to as a river city because of Boat Sailing on the Songhua River, a verse composed by Emperor Kang Xi of the Qing Dynasty during his inspection tour of the east. " [Full story]
