Olympic torch finishes tour of Taian

(TAIAN, July 22) -- Bi Wenjing, an Uneven Bars runner-up at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, reached the Tiandi Square at the foot of Mount Tai and lit the cauldron at 12:43 p.m., drawing an end to the Taian leg of the Olympic Torch Relay in eastern China's Shandong Province.

Bi, 25, started her career at age 5. She won a gold medal at the 1998 Gymnastics World Cup.

Xing Aowei, also a gymnast, led the Torch Relay in the city at 11:30 a.m. As many as 120 torchbearers participated in the relay.
